I was offered Red or White wine on entry to Lexey’s house on Sunday afternoon and met with a mouthwatering spread of finger foods.
A gentleman sat out in the back courtyard with a guitar, twirled moustache, and crocodile skin boots. I could only assume this was singer songwriter Nigel Wearne.
Seats and standing room in a comfortable, capacity crowd, Nigel introduced us to his self-made instruments with moustache and goatee motif on the head of the guitar.
A wave of delight went through the room, incited by Nigel’s fast, precise, and intricate guitar and banjo playing.
Nigel has been living in country Victoria for three years and you can see the inspiration from the bush captured magnificently in his music.
