On a Sunday night in June, the wild weather was worth braving for two amazing reasons – other-worldly-level talented jazz and blues musicians and partners in crime, Jessie Gordon and Mark Turner, who were only a few days away from jetting off for musical adventures in Germany. Copious amounts of comfort food, wine and whiskey also helped everyone feel a little toastier.
Tucked away in our suburban living room, Jessie and Mark delighted with an array of renditions and original music, from gospel and R&B to jazz and, thrillingly, the dirtiest of dirty blues – and were even kind enough to throw in a few special requests.
