House concerts aren't a new thing. Music performance in the home has been around since the 16th century and even before. But a 'concert' doesn't necessarily have to be musical, right?
Let me introduce to you, Parlour Giggles! We've dreamt of bringing live comedy into the home since we started Parlour, and I have to say the first Giggles was a roaring success.
Very special thank you to Patto and Lauze for their hospitality and welcoming us into their beautiful home in the backstreets of Burnley.
The show for the evening was Prime, written and performed by award winning comedy duo Isabel & Rachel who bring a mix of character comedy, storytelling and performance art mockery to the stage. Prime is hilariously cringe worthy, uncomfortably funny comedy, punctuated by the bouncing of a rubber ball and laughter from the 30 plus crowd in attendance. Isabel & Rachel are well worth checking out if you get the chance.
